Event description:

The Symposium entitled “Research and infrastructure to track and sustain animal movements and lives in a changing world”, originally scheduled to take place at Yale University on May4-5, 2020, has been moved to be hosted online due to COVID-19.

This Symposium will address:

  1. Data and metadata standards enabling the integration of single individual information from different domains (tracking-derived products, morphology, physiology, genetics, imagery, behavior, etc.)
  2. Research tools and automated workflows for developing aggregate tracking products such as migration paths and home ranges.
  3. Web-based infrastructure for the visualization, exploration and sharing of aggregate movement products for science and conservation.
  4. App-based engagement of citizen scientists and society around single tracked individuals: Toward a “Digital Museum” of animal lives.
